“My goal is to never produce one product, but a lifestyle. An idea,” designer Matteo Nunziati tells me as we tour Bonaldo’s exhibit at Salone del Mobile.Milano.
Matteo built an entire collection inspired by the work of American designer George Nelson. The centerpiece is the Nelson double bed, with clean lines and bold wooden striations.

The real challenge of the collection was getting the details right. “Design is all in the details. The real luxury aspect of this collection is that the manufacturing is perfect,” says Matteo.
Matteo began the collection by sketching by hand and designed the bed to appear like it’s floating.
